The difference between success and failure is a great team. And one of our culture pillars is our team and its continuous development.
So, two members of our team –Marian Filipovici (software developer) and Romana Salajan (business analyst) had the chance to attend a Microsoft workshop in Bucharest – ”Microsoft, Hands on Lab Power Apps”.
The way we work today is fundamentally different than just a few years ago. Work happens on our phones, tablets and laptops everywhere we go. The mobile revolution, together with nearly limitless compute and data in the cloud, has transformed our professional experience. That is why Microsoft came with a new tool for building mobile apps faster and easy – Microsoft Power Apps.
”The ease with which an application for smartphones can be developed for internal use is one of the key concepts that }exghts puts into practice, borrowing the development model of Microsoft. I was impressed by the possibility of interconnection of the application with all other services offered through the Office365 platform, putting at the disposal of the end user the entire suite of applications through a simple project to accomplish, which does not require mandatory programming knowledge”,
”The workshop gave me an overview of some features I was not aware of, and that could help us in the future. It also gave me some insights of where the Power platform is going, and made me excited for some features that I will like as a programmer”,
added Marian about his experience.
Microsoft Power Apps helps everyone, from business analysts to professional developers, work more efficiently. Power Apps has intuitive visual tools that don’t require code and enables data integration and distribution.
”The platform can be extended with building blocks for professional developers. The apps can be shared on any device. So, you don’t have to be a developer in order to create a simple app with Power Apps. And more than that, every repeated step or process can be automatized using Flow and Power Apps. The workshop was interactive and ”hands-on” oriented. The presenters made two demos and I was impressed how easy it’s to create an internal business mobile app”,
Power Appsit’s part of the Microsoft Power Platform together with Microsoft Power Bi and Microsoft Flow. You can create apps in the online mode and choose Model Driven Apps (prebuilt templates) or Canvas Apps (create an app from scratch). It’s easy to get data into the apps with more than 200 connectors for many popular cloud services and even on-premises data.
